Abigail Falcon-Rosa - Founder, President

My mother was a victim of domestic violence for over 16 years. She was an extremely traditional woman, had very little education and suffered years of abuse because that is how she was raised.  She was completely dependent on a man who was not my father but who used me against her as well.  She passed at the age of 50 from rheumatoid arthritis.  

This mission, goals of this organization are to honor her memory.  I learned to appreciate her actions, decisions and acceptance years after her death.   I learned to see with adult eyes the sacrifices she thought she was making.  As hurtful and harmful as they were.  If she was provided the tools we have today I know that she would have obtained the confidence to start running towards a better life.  

I and the team that are assembled, joined me to work on this important mission in memory of my mother, Luz Delia  Alverio.

Like the founder of the organization my mother was also a victim of domestic violence throughout my childhood, I only remember the first few yrs of my life that domestic violence was present and it wasn't a life time occurrence.  My mother was a very strong person.  I joined this organization to help people and make a difference.
